Going in Style: A Comedic Heist Movie with Heart
Going in Style is a movie that combines the hilarity of old-man humor with the tension of a bank heist and the poignancy of aging gracefully. Directed by Zach Braff, this film boasts an all-star cast including Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Arkin. It’s a remake of the 1979 film of the same name, but this version has updated some aspects and modernized it for today’s audience.
The storyline follows three lifelong friends who have just lost their pensions when their company goes bankrupt. Joe (Caine), Willie (Freeman), and Albert (Arkin) are struggling to make ends meet on their meager social security checks.
